What is a self-contained accommodation?

At Lazy Acre Log Cabins, our cabins are self-catered, which means they are fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals, including cooking facilities, cutlery, and crockery.

What this means for you:

• Guests are responsible for providing their own food, groceries, toiletries, and other consumables.
• A small starter pack (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, etc.) may be supplied for your arrival.
• Starter pack items are not replenished during your stay. Once used, you will need to purchase additional supplies yourself (available at reception or local supermarkets).
• Self-catered accommodation is not serviced daily. Guests are responsible for keeping their cabin clean and tidy throughout their stay.

What is supplied in the cabins?

Lazy Acre Log Cabins offers fully self-catered accommodation, giving you the space and freedom to enjoy your holiday at your own pace.

Each cabin is equipped with:

• Cooktop and oven
• Full-sized refrigerator and microwave
• Crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils
• Television
• Reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating
• Ceiling fan in the lounge room
• Separate toilet and shower
• Separate laundry with washing machine, sink, and portable clothesline
• Linen and bath towels (please bring your own beach towels)
• Iron available upon request from Reception

Complimentary Starter Pack
For your convenience, a small starter pack is provided on arrival, including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, dishwashing liquid, soap, tissues, and a spare toilet roll.
Please note: Starter pack items are not replenished during your stay. Additional supplies can be purchased at Reception or from local supermarkets.

What’s the difference between a hotel/motel room and a self-catered accommodation?

Why Choose Lazy Acre Log Cabins Over a Standard Hotel?

A typical hotel or motel room is company-owned and usually fitted with a standard furniture package. Rooms generally consist of a bed, bathroom, mini-fridge, desk, and TV, and are serviced daily with fresh linens, towels, toiletries, tea, and coffee.

At Lazy Acre Log Cabins, our self-contained cabins offer much more—giving you that “home away from home” feeling:

• Fully self-contained cabins with cooking facilities and all essentials
• A private verandah with outdoor table and chairs
• Car parking directly beside your cabin, plus boat and trailer parking in front
• Hoses at each cabin for wash-down and engine flush
• Shared gazebo area with a BBQ
• Outdoor 9 meter swimming pool

While our furnishings are a little traditional, the owners are continually upgrading the quality and range of accommodation, introducing new features each year to make your stay even more enjoyable. Most importantly, we genuinely care about your experience and will always do our best to ensure you have a wonderful time while exploring the Lakes region.

What is required on departure?

Before leaving, we kindly ask guests to:

• Leave the cabin in a tidy condition
• Wash, dry, and return any used dishes to the cupboards
• Remove all food from the refrigerator
• Dispose of rubbish in the designated bins

If preferred, we can complete these tasks for you at an additional charge applied to your credit card.

🧹Damage & Excess Cleaning
Any items in the cabin that are broken, damaged, or left extremely dirty will incur charges to cover the cost of replacement, plus $75 per hour cleaning fees to return the cabin to its original condition. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Stained bedding or towels
• Missing/damaged remotes, TV, lights, or fixtures
• Stained furniture
• Iron burns on linen or carpets
• Food scraps on carpets

Excess cleaning, replacement, or removal of items will be charged to the guest’s credit card or deducted from their bond or refundable deposit.

Strong Odour Foods?

All cabins are equipped with cooking facilities for your convenience. However, we kindly ask guests to refrain from cooking foods with strong odours, such as crabs, seafood, or heavily spiced/curried meals. These odours can permeate into bed linen, curtains, and furnishings, and in some cases render a cabin uninhabitable for several days.

If a cabin is left with strong lingering odours after check-out, Lazy Acre Log Cabins reserves the right to charge the guest a cleaning fee and recover any associated loss of income if the cabin cannot be re-let.

🦀No Crab Cooking or Crab Storage Policy

Lazy Acre Log Cabins has a strict NO CRAB cooking or storage policy in all cabins and anywhere on the property.

If any evidence of crabs or crab nets is found, a $500 cleaning fee will be charged to the guest’s booking.
